The Northwest Indiana Coalition Occupation project will work with Senators Bayh and Lugar and with Rep. Pete Visclosky to education them about the need to quickly end the occupation of Iraq, the necessity of legislative votes against further funding of the war on Iraq, and the rationale behind de-funding the war. We will attempt to obtain the signatures of our legislators on the pledge. We will support those who choose to commit nonviolent civil disobedience as a means of gaining the support of our legislators. We are committed to the principles of nonviolence as outlined in the Voices statement of Nonviolence.
